10 cashews
8 almonds (blanched & peeled)
1 tbsp melon seeds (magaz)
1 tbsp poppy seeds (khus-khus)
2 tbsp warm milk (for soaking)
250g paneer (cubed)
2 tbsp ghee or oil
1 bay leaf
2 green cardamoms
1-inch cinnamon stick
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 large onion (finely chopped)
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2 medium tomatoes (pureed)
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala
1 tbsp yogurt (whisked)
1 tsp sugar (optional)
½ cup milk
Salt to taste
1 tbsp chopped cashews & almonds (for garnish)
1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
Soak cashews, almonds, melon seeds, and poppy seeds in warm milk for 15 minutes.
Grind them into a smooth, thick paste and set aside.
Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan.
Lightly sauté the paneer cubes until they turn golden brown.
Transfer to a plate and keep aside.
Heat 2 tbsp ghee/oil in a pan.
Add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cardamoms, and cumin seeds. Sauté for 30 seconds until aromatic.
